Clearly my name is not Tamaulipas. Tamaulipas is one of the 31 states of Mexico and is located in the northeast. In Malay language, it can literally means 'do not want cockroach'. Basically, I am rambling about things on my mind.
a little while ago when the politics of malaysia was not in such a turmoil, voices, faintly heard about introducing Nuclear as a powerr option for malaysia. since no firm decision has been made, generally, the people seem okay with the idea. i am ok too because of the need to secure power for the country.
but with no firm decision, we really willl not see anything.
i hope govt will announce its decision as soon as possible.
its a good approach to divert the attention from whatever current issues which i believe will not go anywhere.
One thing about the restaurant is that it has more tables than it could set in their restaurant. So they set the tables outside and at areas you would not think they would when the customers start to overflow. By midnight, if customers are too many and there is no available sit, the restaurant could conquer the whole block of shop row with their tables.
Oddly enough, people will refer to Restoran Murni SS2 as some mamak restaurant but it is in fact owns by a chinese. nevertheless, majority of the workers are mamaks and the customers are fusion of malaysians. so what makes the restaurant so special that it can conquer the whole block with customers?
1) the price are reasonable and the portion of food is huge enough to make anyone with normal appetite to be full and satisfied with burp.. alhamdulillllah.. i can't eat anymore.
2) the range of food is vast, from local style nasi lemak to indian roti canai and chinese lowh shee fun as well as western cuisine fuse with local favorites.
3) unique menu, here you can ask for nasi goreng napolean or nasi goreng maaryland or roti hawaii, pictures? well i have to refer you to another blog.
4) all sort of drinks from local specialty of teh tarik to "pink panther" ice blended. you should just ask for their range of drink and the waiter will start talking non stop about all sort of names i.e air mango, air laici, air tembikai, honey dew, iloveyou, iloveblue, bla bla bla.
5) the service can be considered fast, water will come first after about 3 minutes followed by the main course after another 7 minutes or so. even though they have customers all down the block, they still cankeep track of the orders as each waiter will be assigned too several customers. unlike some restaurants where different waiter will take your order and different guy will bring out your food and if something is not as you requested it will be trouble some to argue.
6) the restaurant is racially sensitive to issues of malaysian, although the owner may not be a muslim, they respect those who are fasting by giving dates and small portion of cutted fuits as an appetizer for those who are about to break their fast.
7) the place is a bit shabby especially if you have to sit and somewhere far from the main terminal, lucky enough to get a table set up for you in front of a closed shop lot. nevertheless, you will be attended to by the waiters.
8) you can opt for mix rice with many choices of readily available lauk pauk.
9) i am starting to be running out of ideas but still want to go for ten. so number nine is that the traffic are crowded in this area so if you are stuck in the traffic jam, it is not because they set up their tables on the road thus blocking the traffic but it is just because there are just too many cars coming in especially during the peak time of eating lunch or dinner. the point is that there many other restaurants available in this area but most of them is empty due to the popularity of this SS2 Sri Murni Restaurant.
10) i dont really know about this but i have read somewhere that the owner has a brother who is operating the same system of eating place by the name of William's
So there you have it the ten points about Restoran Sri Murni at SS2/75 PJ.
I hate PJ area as well as other area with too many traffic lights and intersections thus making the flow of the traffic rather slow. and the fact that this area is not accessible by using LRT.
Last night when I watched Ocean’s Eleven, it reminds me of Joey and my trip to the west coast. Joey was the first guy who let me drive in the US. It was very challenging, half-way through when everyone was sleeping, I was driving in a snowstorm!
I remember a job interview with TNB. Although at first I thought it went very well, the more I thought about it the more I want to do it again. I think that I should have said things differently if I were given a second chance. The very first thing I would like to improve is the way I started the whole process. Instead of greeting everyone altogether, I would personally greet each one of them, ask their name and how they are doing while at the same time introducing myself. It would be very professional to shake hand and make eye contact while saying “Hi, How are you? My name is Buffer. And you are?” Then the way I speak, I am truly not being myself. For the first time I keep on mixing the two languages, English and Malay while communicating with them. My mind set is that I shall not speak any language other than Malay while speaking with Malays unless they really do not know the language. But the problem is that they ask me the question in English, so naturally I will begin my answer in English. But due to the nature that they are Malays and I am kind of nervous, I start speaking Malay and the mid point of our conversation. And so it goes, they would think that I always mix my language when speaking with others. One thing I learn is that I should be more relax and appear to be professional while answering their questions. I should stop and think before opening my mouth. If I don’t know the answer I shall beat around the bush while not going too far of the subject. The night before the interview, I should try to visualize the interview and prepare for any questions that would normally ask in an interview. Obviously their first question is to describe myself, my educational background in two minutes. Now that I have been through it, I know I should practice talking over and over again.
their 2 favorite questions Tell us about your educational background. What is the most challenging experience .. e.g during studying?
Sometimes I think that it would be best if I can type anywhere or as fast as my brain is thinking. I am imagining a computer brain that can read the brain signal and type whatever is in the mind into a word processor. This is very useful when making a thesis, a book, a journal or any writing that requires a lot of thinking. The computer program should be able to differentiate the signals that require the dictation and signals that are just thought that should not be recorded. Then there should be a mean to tell the program, ok so start writing from this thought to that thought and stop whenever necessary. Indeed it would be a very complicated program to make and I don’t know if it would be realized anytime soon and be sold in the market.
I often think that doctors and mechanics stand on the same principle when treating symptoms of their patients. They tend to resolve in the most general or common cause of the symptoms based on their past experience. Without proper background of the patient and the limited time they have, perhaps their conclusions of the symptoms make perfect sense at the time. Let’s say John goes to the doctor complaining about the high temperature of his body. After a quick scan, the doctor concluded that John got a high fever and gave him some pills as prescription. Meanwhile there is a Jane who goes to a mechanic complaining about high temperature in her car engine. After a quick scan the mechanic concluded that the fan of the radiator is the reason. So both John and Jane go back to continue on their respective destination. Few minutes on the drive, maybe a little less than half an hour, Jane discovers that the engine starts to heat up again. So she stops at the side of the road fearing that the engine will go overheat. After half an hour or so, Jane starts driving back to the mechanic complaining about the high temperature of her engine. So now the mechanic is a bit baffled and takes a closer look which consumes more time to tell her the problem than before. After a few test the mechanic concludes that the problem may be due to the thermostat connecting the radiator and the engine. Thermostat controls the flow of water around the engine, if the engine does not reach a certain temperature, the thermostat will block the flow of water from the radiator to the engine. Once the engine starts to heat up, the thermostat will let the water circulates the engine. So mechanic just removed the thermostat saying that it will not have any effect on the engine. So after saying goodbye to the mechanic, Jane drives a way. Few miles towards her destination, the engine started to show sign of overheating yet again! Jane quickly makes a U-turn towards the workshop and indeed the mechanic is as surprised to see her. Now, the manager of the workshop also coming towards with a bunch of other mechanics thinking that either the mechanic in charge is incompetent or there is something really wrong with her car. After some explanations by the mechanic in charge, they concluded that the mechanic has done what is necessary and there is still something big causing the problem. The workshop owner suggests that Jane let them take apart the engine and do some “surgery” or major overhaul. Reluctant at first, but Jane has no other choice; the heating of the engine might have caused some other problems inside the engines as explained by the mechanics. The oil may have been spill out or the radiator itself is broken. Few days later the car is done and no more unusual heating problem!
The mind as it seems does not comprehend the state of affair in the state of astonishment. Amy is astounded and taken aback by the news to find the heart of a chicken in an abattoir up on the hill. The storm has abated, paving the way for Amy to investigate into the matter. She abandoned the abacus, to abase herself before the power of God the Almighty; she feels so small standing on the hill with nothing to see except the thick forest and the abattoir. Far across the valley she knows of an abbey where abbesses and abbots stay and help the villagers. With no one in sight she yawned so loudly that she can hear the sound coming back at her from the trees. She was abashed at herself for forgetting her manner somewhere 3000 ft across the continent. Perhaps due to the abbreviation of her real name, nothing aberrant for long names likes hers. Actually the case does not seem interesting to her, yet she abhors every thought about entering the abattoir, smelling the foul smell of blood and carrions especially with abscess on her gum. She could no longer stand the place and walk away.
it has been confirmed that fresh new grad entering Petronas will receive a salary of RM 3,500 whilst other companies are still reluctant to increase the wages.
so folks, if your company gives less than 3.5k, then think hard before your board the ship.
i have never thought about this until one day a friend make a remark..
"you never got a scholarship from this company, right?"
"emm, what do you mean?"
"i mean that this company only lend you money for you to go oversea and now you have to repay them back by working with them, you don't think so?"
"damn, now i am beginning to think so too"
"yeah, how much do you owe them?"
"well, they sort of gave me the bill after i got back here"
"oh yeah, how much?"
"hmm.. let me see, yeah right here, they said i owe them RM 777,897.89"
"wow that's a lot! you have to pay them anything?"
"no, as long as i worked for them for seven years"
"so meaning that you have to pay them RM 111,128.30 a year, which translates to about RM 9,620 a month for 7 years"
"well, it seems so"
"so i guess your real salary is about RM 11,500, only that you do not get to see the nine thousand plus, kind of a lot for a fresh grad like you, you don't think so?"
"well, damn you for making me feel lucky working with this company.. BWAHAHA!"
"you should be thankful, hehe"
"i should, anyway it's ramadan, good to have this reflection"
Incidentally, today is a lovely day for me.. because
i love easy driving i love smooth traffic i love saving <--- due to easy driving and smooth traffic, so i kinda saved on fuel i love good food <-- after the talk today, we were served with some delicacies i love meeting inspiring people who are positive and bubbly <-- i met many today i love resting <-- since tomorrow is holiday i love peace <-- no more mosquitoes after we removed their breeding haven
although some roads are closed for the incoming merdeka celebration, some roads are still open
today i took the risk of going through the roads that i thought would be closed, but luckily it was not closed and not many people are using that road. so an evening that i thought i would be spending quite some times in jammed turned out to be just the opposite.
then i switched on the tv and stumble upon the DiGi advert - Lovely Day by Bill Withers
so here is the lyric to Lovely Day -
When I wake up in the morning love and the sun light hurts my eyes
And something without warning love bears heavy on my mind.
Then I look at you and the world’s alright with me
Just one look at you and I know it’s gonna be
A lovely day lovely day.. x8
A lovely day lovely day .. x8
**When the day that lies ahead of me seems impossible to face
And someone else instead of me always seems to know the way
Then I look at you and the world’s alright with me
(and) Just one look at you and I know it’s gonna be
A lovely day lovely day.. x8
A lovely day lovely day .. x8
....
repeat**
hmm... lovely day indeed to end a busy week. but nevertheless i do have to some homework during the weekend to finish em by tuesday, i suppose, since monday is a holiday.
I have been using AKLEH for a while since the start of AKLEH is just a little drive from my home which is in Ampang. With AKLEH I can reach KL i.e. the Jalan TAR area (where the SOGO and other nearby attractions) in less than 15 minutes. Thanks to AKLEH, I can start my car as late as 7.30 in the morning to be able to punch in before 8 am.
Toll is RM1.50 one way flat rate for cars but i believe it's worth every sen for me since I use AKLEH from one end to another end. It is smooth except in the toll collection area when cars are too many and the lines are long. But with Smart tag one does not have to wait for long. After and before the toll, the roads are clear thanks to understanding and caring drivers who do not drive too slow on the highway.
It is called a highway because it is high from the ground. One could jump and die. Cars could go from the sides (if they are crazy enough) and explode. A daredevil can jump and dive to the infamous river of KL. How high it may seem, the LRT track is higher than the highway.
AKLEH is in fact parallel to Jalan Ampang but without the traffic lights. Jalan Ampang is horrible even during the non-peak hours. There are just too many intersections with traffic lights. The only time I think is suitable to use Jalan Ampang is at night after 8. Hopefully, cars aren't that many.
A way to capture the modern Kuala Lumpur is to go through AKLEH. You can see all sorts of modern buildings especially the KLCC. There is in fact a special exit from AKLEH to the KLCC parking.
A little while ago, some hard knocked motorcyclist were seen using the AKLEH even though it is forbidden. I was thinking of complaining because the motorcycles disturb the harmony of the traffic since AKLEH has only four lanes, with two lanes respectively at each direction. However, at the toll collection area, the roads are wide enough with few more lanes to smooth the flow.
BTW, the thick blue line is AKLEH in the image shown above.
Let us assume that Daniel has just graduated from any college with a degree of four years.
Generally, the starting salary for fresh grad working in Malaysia is around 1800 - 2800 (after deduction due to epf and socso). Quite a big range so depending on where Daniel chooses to work or in this case, where he will be accepted to work since his result is not that good. However, he is a sweet talker and may be able to "dillusionize" the interviewer.
I believe with all my senses that working in the banking industry offer the highest pay for fresh grad in malaysia. higher than that is to work for international company like slumberger but the work is hell. you will not be staying anywhere for too long and for the first year you will be put into rigorous tests and exercises. once you passed everything, you will be posted just anywhere in the world. a friend to told about a friend of his who has to work in the middle of a dessert in sudan in a contenna for three months, then off for few weeks.
so back to salary pay, here are some that i know for new exec inclusive of allowances:
petronas - 2500
tnb - 2200
powertek - 2200
govt - 2900
cimb - 3100
Motorola - 2600
audit firms - 1800++ (not sure)
so lets say daniel chooses to work in powertek, because the office is in menara maxis, which is very close to his home in jalan ampang, and he got to see chicks in KLCC. with 2200, the pay is quite low. before he even touch the money about ~300 is deducted from his salary which is for epf and socso. the epf requires that 11% of your salary to be deposited into your epf account. so now at the end of month, daniel will receive 1900 for the month pay.
since daniel has no family in KL, he has to rent a room at about 300 which is ok and comfy. not too grand but good enough for single like daniel. he also has to pay installment for his car which he bought just after graduation, well, his father sponsored the deposit of 10% and now he has to pay the installment at 400 a month. for a month petrol, he has to pay about 300 since he likes to go out in the weekends, see some friends, make some loves and watch some movies. additionally, everyday he spent about RM15 for food, i.e. 4 for breakfast, 6 for lunch and 5 for dinner or in other possible combinations. but in average he need to spend about 15 a day for food. thus, for a whole month, 15 x 30 will equal to 450.
the basic spending will be = 300+400+300+450=1450 with 1900, he is left with = 1900 - 1450 = 350
so 350 left to spend, what about weekends? one could easily spend extra 50 every weekend. say you want to treat those special friends of yours, or just watching movies, play pool, bowling, buy new clothes, etc.. man i have no money left... what about the bills you have to pay? the phone, utilities, and so on. the bills may easily reached 100.
so basically, to live life comfortably as a fresh graduate living in kuala lumpur, 3000 is a good start for salary. some people just dont have a choice because he or she is bonded by contracts due to the sponsorship during their study and now have to work at a particular company for a certain number of years. poor 'em.
Once arriving in KL sentral you can just go anywhere from there. in the building itself you can access the following modes of tranportation:
Putra LRT --> the line goes from Terminal Putra in Gombak all the way to Kelana Jaya. Interesting stops with this line are KLCC, Masjid Jamek, Bangsar and Central Market (Pasar Seni). Beware, on public holidays, Central Market is full of immigrant workers loafing around. So they squat here and there thus creating a scene which does not feel like KL. I think this LRT line has the most advance Train with most frequent availability. The only set back is that you can only use the machine with exact change. Since I have a TouchNGo card, going in and out trains is fast and easy.
KTM Komuter --> by far always showing me how bad the service can be. Always not on time and very crowded. If you are lucky you will get the seat because there are plenty of them, but since the frequency is low, the trains tend to get very crowded, and if you are only in for few tops you should better not sit as getting out of the train will be very hard once it is very crowded. I guess because KTM uses the old style of commuter trains which are not very practical nowadays. Btw, the line goes from sentul to port klang and another line goes from Rawang to Seremban and vice versa. By far covering the longest distance of all the commuting trains.
ERL --> Express Rail Link, yes, it is the fastest way to go from KL Sentral to KLIA. It takes only 28 minutes and cost RM35 one way. Another type is ERL transit which also goes to KLIA but will stop at first Bandar Tasik Selatan, Putrajaya, Salak Tinggi and finally KLIA. List of fares are available at their website.
and of course taxis and buses going all sort of places. buses to Genting Highland is about Rm15 and to KLIA LCCT is RM8/9. You will need to be very familiar with the bus system to appreciate all the routes available.
If you are wiling to find the way around, a few minutes walk outside the building will lead you to the KL Monorel station. It will go from KL Sentral to titiwangsa through the bukit bintang/imbi area where the famous bintang walk is. So the complete map is available through www.kiat.net website or you can just download the pdf map.
Arriving with AirAsia most people living in KL do not come or exist in KL previously. people who love their money will not spend on MAS just to fly to KL so those people including me with go with AirAsia. AirAsia is a great way to travel to KL from Sabah or Sarawak or other places where AirAsia choose to operate. AirAsia is usually (or rather most of the time) RM200 cheaper than MAS. So let us assume that some dude in Kuching decides to come and work or study or go holiday in KL.
Firstly, he will book the ticket online which payable through online banking or credit cards. please ensure that you put your contact number so that AirAsia will be able to contact you in case of flight delay or cancellation. they contacted me once to inform about a delay which is rather thoughtful because you can then make other plans.
Then, on a particular day he set the time he will have to go the airport to check in. AirAsia counter opens two hours before and closes 45 minutes before departure time. please be prepared with some money if you are going to check in bags in to the cargo. each bag will cost RM5 and the overall weight limit is 15kg. if in any case, the total luggage exceeds 15kg, then you will have to pay RM15 for every 1kg you exceeded. so he will just need to show his ID (IC) in order to check in. bla bla bla he will go to the security check point then finally the terminal building where he will wait for boarding. boarding is usually 20 mins before departure.
Then, he boards on the plane. since AirAsia is practicing free seat concept, he will just seat anywhere where he likes where there is no one on the seat. there is no need to hurry unless you want to seat at a particular spot or want to seat together with friends. but this guy is alone so he does not bother to stand first in line and just waits till the line starts moving only then he boards the plane.
flight to KL from kuching is about 1 hour and 45 mins, no matter what type of company he chooses to fly with. in this case, MAS and AirAsia are the two choices to fly from kuching to KL and vice versa. During the flight the stewardess are set to sell foods and souvenirs, but he refrains from buying anything since the stewardess are not that hot up to his standard.
the plane touches the ground 9.05 pm but he only touches the ground at 9.15 pm. he rushes out and go into the SkyBus (owns by AirAsia) to KL. The ticket is RM9 for one way from LCCT KLIA to Kuala Lumpur City Sentral. There is this another bus company offering RM8 to KL sentral but since each bus will only move once it is full and the SkyBus seems more crowded, he chooses to pay RM9 instead of RM8 so that he may reach KL sentral earlier, since somebody is waiting for him.
the bus moves at about 9.25pm and reaches KL Sentral at 10.35pm. Thus the journey is a little more than one hour. so he looks around that somebody who is waiting for him and they both run towards one another with arms wide open and finally they kiss. :-P
so with AirAsia its a rather cheap journey to KL, only RM8 or RM9 depending on which bus you choose.
when i encounter people at the service points, such as cashiers, ticketing counters, bus drivers, etc i always wonder why people in malaysia are not as friendly as those in the western country...
i missed their wonderful expressions, i.e.
"Hey, how are you today?"
"How is it going boy?"
"Nice weather eh?"
"Good morning dear, what can i do for you today?" --> i was greeted whenever i go for shopping in walmart.
or even a simple smile.
so is it true that Malaysians are lacking of courtesy?
recently, i discovered from a friend that Bukit Kiara and Mont Kiara are referring to two different area. i used to think that Mont Kiara is the english translation of Bukit Kiara, boy i was wrong.
Bukit is the place where the Security Commission, INTAN and Pusat Sains Negara are situated, whilst Mont Kiara is the place north of Sri Hartamas and just before Segambut.
this morning i was planning to go early and to put on my contact lense for today. but somehow i spent almost half an hour trying to put em on. somehow they would not jsut stick into my eyes. they felt funny as if it was soggy and too soft. nevertheless i tried several times putting them on but failed. so i threw em both into the bin thinking that they must be rotten lime old tomatoes.
having spent almost half an hour, it was kind of late and i magined that people waiting in the bus would be annoyed by me but alas only 6 people were in the bus when i arrived. sepnt another half an hour before we actually began the trip.
so i thought to myself that when we stopped at genting sempah petronas station that i would not be eating anything. but being me and crazy to try the nasi dagang i have to let myself go. it was expensive at rm 8.50 with one teh tarik. i was not v surprised since i have eaten here before and the foods are a bit pricey.
so when we actually arrived at the factory, we were served with ... NASI DAGANG for breakfast. i was shocked and in denial state. why did i have to buy the nasi dagang at the petronas station? why? porke mia mor? (i love me)
the host at MNI was very generous. they served us with three courses i.e breakfast, lunch and tea and all are mouth watering and taste really wondeful and fresh. it was a rather large complex with three boilers and their own ability to generate electricity. they even gave us sourvenir as we were about to depart. THANKS MNI.
as a group of auditors, we were taken to the main part of the plant and trying to find ways of improving the operation. our aim is to help look for areas of improvements in terms of recoverable losses. there are few leakages we found and things could be more efficient.
three hours it took to drive from mont kiara to mentakab. on the way back i was still confused with the roads at mont kiara, i did not appear to be as in the map. how come??
and back to the topic, i am thinking that whatever that i imagine in my mind would not happen in reality. therefore i will try with all my best not to imagine the beautiful things because then i would not ever happen to me. so maybe i would start imagining all the worse thing that can happen so God willing it would never happen to me.
from the moment he suggested the use of IMF during the economic downturn of 1998 i just don't trust him and i wonder why there are people who support him even though he is clearly trying to get the influence of the west namely USA into Malaysia.
can you imagine if malaysia were to listen to Anwar in 98 or if Mahathir did not sack him and put him into the jail.. we might be worse today. but to really think about it if anwar had not been sacked, he might become the current prime minister of malaysia instead of paklah. the Mr clean paklah who is no more viewed as mr clean but rather something else which is related to some form of doziness.
screw anwar when he said he can lower the price of oil.. for how long? but pak lah decision to cut off the subsidy in the abrupt manner is just as bad, when could do it slowly when he already gave some hint that the price will go up by august. he could do it slowly not knee jerk kind of way because people prefer to adapt but slowly. we the rakyat are willing to change our way of life but not in abrupt manner. come on, everything needs time to adjust.
then we might as well screw pak lah and his team.
but again screw anwar who is trying to seek sympathy from the foreigners. he wanted to go here and there storytelling about his pathetic life to all the foreigners. so that one day if we really got into power he can repay them at the expense of the Malaysian? do we need more foreigners in our country? no, hell no. they should let us be who we are not following their middle fingers.
then also screw mahathir who let the IPP reap all the benefits from the agreement that they signed in 1990s. additionally they make TNB suffer when TNB mission is to serve the rakyat. screw mahathir for letting TNB and the rakyat be the victim. for letting go Tan Sri Ani when he refused to sign the PPA. screw the next CEO who comply to signing the PPA. they are the ones who are responsible for the increase in tariff and the high reserve margin in the country at the 'expense of the rakyat's subsidy.
thus screw anwar, then pak lah, and then mahathir.
Screw them who commented or criticized on the decisions made by the Terengganu state government on the purchase of MercedeseshAHA really screw them.
first, of course the state government has done the studies necessary and figures don't lie. when datoahmad said that having proton is more expensive, i believe him so should you all.
merce is da bomb, buying it will not let you down. they have the best guaranteed quality and in the long run it saves you more than having an elongated perdana V6. in addition you know how the the squeaky quality of proton. after a few hours of driving a new proton, you will start to hear nnoises that you wish you would not hear. HOW COULD SOMEONE SO BUSY like the menteri besar and his subordinates can bear the unnnecessary noises made by the proton car when they NEED TO THINK ABOUT THE RAKYAT and their problems! HOW COULD THEY LET THEM who are trusted to care about the rakyat be annoyed by such small problems??
let them have what they deserve. let them people leave them they deserve the car please don't make a fuss about it ok? there are more things to ponder or to question like where are the billions spent by Pak Lah and Co.? how little is few millions compared to those billions ringgit?
dato ahmad then can give me one of his car as a token of appreciation to me..
i hate going to sri hartamas or mont kiara or any other places around that area because i dont think they did any proper planning for the routes and roads. it is so confusing with flyover or downover and they are signs everyway.
the fact is that i feel stupid talking in english.. because my mother tongue is not english. also its getting harder for me to write in english because i kept on translating what i am trying to say. this is what happen when you do not practice speaking in english in a frequent manner. looking at other countries such as japan, korea and france i wonder why do they achieve so much even though their public are infamous for not being able to understand or speak in english. thus i conclude that english is not a benchmark for any countries to be successful or not. it is just an indication of how the english has conquered the mind and culture of the locals. people from japan are proud in their language, so they are not bother in learning english. english is internationally understood but if you have ever been to korea or japan you will see how hard it is not to know the local language. why can't malaysia be like japan or korea? is it because we are multiracial? when one language are chosen as a mode of communication than other race might feel belittle of the fact that their language is not used. maybe that's the problem that people prefer to speak english in malaysia especially in the cities. sometimes in a meeting, people may not take you as serious as when you are speaking in english. is it to show that when speaking in english you are superior? may be. because then depending on your eloquence, people may look at you differently. in addition if you speak with slang (american or british) they will start to admire you.
yesterday the first day of e-learning it reminded me of my years in college. listening to some technical lectures by an Indian professor through video conference is worse than having the boring lectures in a class where you can actually feel and touch the lecturer. damn it was so boring that i dozed off a few times. what a long 3 hours yesterday and another 3 hours today! tonight have to sleep early since i have to be in mont kiara by 7.30 am. luckily no more video lectures today as we are heading to mentakab to do a technical visit at MNI (malaysian newsprint industry). i believe MNI is the only manufacturer of newspapers' paper.
Well, you done done me and you bet I felt it I tried to be chilled but you're so hot that i melted I fell right through the cracks, and i'm tryin to get back before the cool done run out i'll be givin it my best test and nothin's gonna stop me but divine intervention I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some
but I won't hesitate no more, no more, it cannot wait i'm yours
mmm mmm
Well open up your mind and see like me open up your plans and damn you're free a look into your heart and you'll find love love love love listen to the music of the moment people dance and sing we are just one big family and it's our god forsaken right to be loved, loved, loved, loved, loved
So, i won't hesitate no more, no more, it cannot wait i'm sure there's no need to complicate our time is short this is our fate, i'm yours

I've been spendin' way too long checkin' my tongue in the mirror and bendin' over backwards just to try to see it clearer but my breath fogged up the glass and so I drew a new face and i laughed I guess what I'm a sayin'is there ain't no better reason to rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons it's what we aim to do our name is our virtue
but I won't hesitate no more, no more it cannot wait, i'm yours
well open up your mind and see like me open up your plans and damn you're free a look into your heart and you'll find that the sky is yours so please don't, please don't, please don't there's no need to complicate cause our time is short this is or this or this is our fate, i'm yours
a bummer sure sounds like obama.. but i aint gonna talk about the day i become obama. i dont really know him by the way. it was the day that i sure hope that i can turn back time.
so this was the day that the girl that i like a lot asked me to join her for shisha socializing with some old friends. in fact i actually know some of the friends she was mentioning about. so i were to meet them at castle jalan damai in which i was very excited about. first, and foremost i got to met her and then i got to try for the first time shisha. friday night 10 pm, it wasnt that late at all.
alas that friday was really tiring for me. just before lunch that afternoon, i discovered some parameters that i entered wrong in the simulation. the simulation was for the base case where everyone had to follow in order to simulate their other cases. so being a responsible fellow engineer, i could not just ignore the error and hence i informed everyone. so i had to re-do the base case with the correct parameters, ran all the other simulations i have done, put it in the server and then informed other fellow engineers. i felt bad but there was always lesson in doing mistake right? so all that have to be done within one hour before lunch time since after the friday prayer i would have attend a workshop in bukit kiara. i managed to finish it by one hour and i hope that i did not make any other mistake. God forbids since the meeting on the simulations would be held on the monday. thus for them to complete all the other simulations they have to refer to the base case that i simulated.
my lunch wasnt that smooth either. since my sister left her keys at home, i have to hand her the keys at the lrt station. just in case i have to be home late, she wouldnt have to wait outside the house.
after the prayer, i went in to the office to finalize the files in the server. i copied all the related files from the server to my thumb drive so i could look at it at home. when everything looks ok then i rushed out the building and zoom drove off the bukit kiara.
sure what they said about the sprint highway is true. complicated and very misleading. i took the wrong exit and ended up going to sectiom 16 which is far from where i was supposed to be. realizing that i made a u turn and tried the same road again, again i felt that that i was going in the wrong direction. looking at the time it was already 2.58 pm and omg the workshop would be starting at 3. my heart was pounding really fast and i decided to stop at shell to ask for direction. true enough, i again missed the exit to bukit kiara and the tauke told me how to get there. so i called my senior telling him that i missed the exit but then he assured me to try again since the workshop had not started just yet. people were still enjoying the refreshment in the lobby.
so luckily i made it before the event started (which exactly started at 3.15pm) but as in the other workshop we had to interact and discuss the subject matter with other participants. i believed overall that the workshop was an eye opener. so then i reached home around six after all the hustle in the traffic, i guessed every friday the traffic is worst than any other day. so after shower and maghrib i laid down on the sofa and fell asleep. damn it was really good sleep till i woke up to find that i missed the night out with them.
wow i am a bummer and what a stupid mistake to lay down when you were really tired knowing that you will fall asleep and at the same time knowing that someone is expecting you. not just any someone but someone you want to impress. haha i felt like an idiot actually. so early morning next day i text her to say how sorry i am for last night. but still i felt really bad for letting her down.
Change your life style or change the government? Somehow, i've been hearing this frequent. To me, nothing really changes except for prices. Prices that i have to pay to buy things.
it all started with the fuel hike. i used to fill up my tank for RM 80, it was then, now i have to pay near to RM 120. that's an increase of RM 40!! for the same amount of gas... fuyyoo. wow now i am driving more smoothly, no jerking and no going over 100km/hr. they said every 1km/hr above 100km/hr will drain your gas by x percent which i dont remember but i believe that holds true for my car. when it is ok, i will not turn on the air conditioner unless its freaking hot and im starting to sweat like a pig. (is it true pig sweats profusely..? I'm not sure but i always hear that .. :/
then everything else started to rise.. since i am not a frequent buyer of goods so i dont know, but then again, i hear that a lot. but what i re ally felt is the increase in price of foods in the canteen. i used to buy 3 karipaps or other kuehs for RM1 then now it is RM1.20. other things such as goreng goreng, nasi lemak, etc went up by 50 cents. duhh
but one thing does not change yet, but i'm hoping and waiting.. which is my PAY. common man.. pay me more because i have to pay more for things. but i heard that my CEO and CFO are to get 100% increment in their salary. WTHeck??! are you joking? freaking joking when you say they do not pay you enough. i have heard that someone read that CEO received a total of 1.1 million in their remuneration last year. what else.. still want more but then ignoring those getting only something like 4 figures or even 1k? if Pak Lah let it go then i am speechless.
so i am hoping that the new CA will bring some smiles to ppl like me. some satisfaction for the hardworks in tnb, in getting all the awards. to CK, "PLEASE PROVE THAT YOU ARE THE MOST prihatin majikan OF THE YEAR!!" like the awards say.
at the same time, power sector experience more than double the fuel cost. gas has risen to RM14.31/mmbtu and coal has gone up 125 USD/tonne. so that is the main reason for the increase in the electric tariff.. NOT BECAUSE WE WANT TO PAY OUR CEO or CFO MORE THAN THEY SHOULD BE GETTING.
Last family gathering at Kg was when I felt like a superstar when people know me but i didn't know them. i forget faces and names of someone i dont really see often. but hey it's actually a new beginning when we started introducing ourselves and getting updates about them. it is time i think that i should really get to know all my relatives..
driving in KL is bad especially going to cheras for the first time. signboards are misleading and traffic is always in constant congestion. i think i spent almost 2 hours driving and cursing. =)
but luckily the PLUS highway was going smoothly yesterday at 4. so we arrived just a lil' after magrib and i still managed to lend few hands in preparing for the guests. thus all the hassle and tussle paid off eventually. so i slept soundly that night with a smile of satisfaction.
morning was quick to come as we had to move right after suboh. it was a nice driving back home as it only took two hours to cross Melaka and N9. Perfect drive early morning with fresh air to breathe. so we arrived just on time to see Hollit entering the driveway, he was all geared up to rock and rattle the house. so everyone was happy with the perfect timing.
i have fallen in love with several girls, all due to love at first sight. but there is one girl that really capture my heart and i just could not get rid of her out of my heart.
it all started one fine winter in a book store. thousand of miles where i was living. i was visiting the place quite unfamiliar to me yet respectable due to its reputations. i was not paying attention to her at first until my friend recognize her as a malaysian. it was hard to believe because she just does not look like a malaysian.
it was lovely chatting with her. really lovely. watching her words coming out flawlessly with ease sounding like a beautiful melody. i know i will love her but what about her.
i let her met my other friends and let her show the way around the place which is where she was studying. ever since, i looked at her from behind with awe and delight.
after lunch she had to go as her parents were waiting for her.
ever since, i could not forget about her. i kept on dreaming about her, drooling.. days and night. i initiated conversation online but she did not seem very keen or that interested to converse with me. i grew impatient and bored with her lack of interest. so i stopped sending her any message.
but after some time i was again in love with her. i looked at her pictures dreamingly and send some more message. but again she replied but not as interested as i would expect her to be.
i tried to forget but still after some time i will again fall in love with her. i can not recall how many times i have fallen with her. yet i was never to be frank about my feelings for her. i was and am still to face the possibilities should i confess my feelings towards her. so all the conversation that i sent to her wold seem like regular exchange between distant friends. friends that doesn't got too deep in detail and will just chat about what is on the surface. i was never trying to go too deep.
the truth is i am afraid of rejection. but since she is the first lady to really be that long inside my heart, there must be a day i should be asking her out, getting to know more about her, especially that we are almost too close to each other. yes, now is the time.
if i want to be rejected, let it comes from the one that i really am thinking all the time. but i don't really what she has been up to. she has not been answering my last message and was not online for two weeks already. is she out of town or is this the way she is going to tell me that whe is not interested in me.
so i became melancholy. i dont really know what i should be thinking about her. i am going to let her go but with one last message to her. if she doesnt reply then that is it. ok chao.
Instead of the 30 minutes drive home, I spent almost 2 hours driving as the traffic was congested in all areas. I just have to remember today! It wasn't really raining at first, but started to pour after 6:30. I just have to curse the police for failing to keep the traffic flowing. Cursing all the way oh yeah! Till I grew tired and feeling remorse.
Yesterday going to work, while driving I saw another car which i know will go to my working place. In it there's a young lady with her small cutey sona at the back seat. Knowing that she will be going to the same place, I set my mind to let her behind. So I stepped the on pedal and drove as fast and as crazy as I possibly could. No matter how fast, she was always close behind. I was like "WOW", she's crazy! She got her son with her!
So I was like always in front of her till we reached the entrance, when she did a crazy wild takeover. I walla I felt totally like a LOSER for the rest of the day.
She's about the same age as me being born in 1985. I felt speechless.
She has achieved a lot in her age, she has been a pioneer in lots of things.
Should I be jealous?
She has put the hookers on par with other occupation.. doctors, engineers, economics, analyst, etc. they're all smart people being what they are. at least they are smart enough to get a degree.
New requirement for prostitution is to at least a degree. She could be the CEO right? Since I think she is the youngest smart hooker. Aren't we proud? The hooking businesses have reach its glorious era.
Being her i can put myself in shoes. I wouldn't want to be in college when i should be at middle-school. I don't want to study at home at the time when i can mix and mingle with others.
To be mixing with people not in your age is awkward, but she must be gotten to it.
Who's at fault? Most probably her parents right?
I think she's smart but a bad planner.
10 years from now I believe that she will regret what she's been doing.
It's not too late to stop. There's always a room to change. There's always someone to help. There's always something to seek help too. Look up because the Almighty is always looking down. He is there waiting for you to ask and think about your next step. He is waiting for you to take the first step. The step that you choose will determine what's next. He will help. Others will help. We are waiting for your permission. He is ready to forgive whenever you are ready to ask.
Think about the future. Is this the best action you're taking?
Think again, think harder?
Or is it about revenge. I will do something bad so those who did bad to me will feel worse? Yes I guess most probably they are feeling very very very bad. While you're happy enjoying sex and feeling rich with the money you're getting.
Are you happy?
Think harder, further, to your future.
10 years time.. 20 years time..
You change for the better, I am ready to forget your past. Most will to. The Almighty will forgive.
Come. You're not alone.
I hope you're smart to practice safe sex. We can never be too sure.
Good to know.... Do not pump full tank of petrol Many of us are not aware that the petrol kiosk pump has a return pipe-line (in black). When the petrol tank (in the car) reaches full level, there is a mechanism to trigger off the pump latch and at the same time a return-valve is opened (at the top of the pump station) to allow excess petrol to flow back in! to the sump. But the return petrol has already pass through the meter, meaning you are donating the petrol back to SHELL/ PETRONAS/ CALTEX/MOBIL..........
Best Regards and Safe Driving *Pumping Gas - Good to Know (from the expert)I've been in petroleum pipeline business for about 31 years, currently working for the Kinder-Morgan Pipeline here in San Jose , CA . We deliver about 4 million gallons in a 24-hour period from the pipe line; one day it's diesel, the next day it's jet fuel and gasoline. We have 34 storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 gallons. Here are some tricks to help you get your money's worth:
1. Fill up your car or truck in the morningwhen the temperature is still cool. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground; and the colder the ground, the denser the gasoline. When it gets warmer gasoline expands, so if you're filling up in the afternoon or in the evening, what should be a gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and temperature of the fuel (gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products) are significant. Every truckload that we load is temperature-compensated so that the indicated gallonage is actually the amount pumped. A one-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for businesses, but service stations don't have temperature compensation at their pumps.
2. ;If a tanker truck is filling the station's tank at the time you want to buy gas, do not fill up; most likely dirt and sludge in the tank is being stirred up when gas is being delivered, and you might be transferring that dirt from the bottom of their tank into your car's tank.
3. Fill up when your gas tank is half-full (or half-empty), because the more gas you have in your tank the less air there is and gasoline evaporates rapidly, especially when it's warm. (Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating 'roof' membrane to act as a barrier between the gas and the atmosphere, thereby minimizing evaporation).
4. If you look at the trigger you'll ! see that it has three delivery settings: slow, medium and high. When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to the high setting. You should be pumping at the slow setting, thereby minimizing vapors created while you are pumping. Hoses at the pump are corrugated; the corrugations act as a return path for vapor recovery from gas that already has been metered. If you are pumping at the high setting, the agitated gasoline contains more vapor, which is being sucked back into the underground tank, so you're getting less gas for your money. Hope this will help ease your 'pain at the pump.5. Do not top off your gas tank, when the pump shuts off, do not keep trying to add more gas. A friend who owns a gas station says that by doing this, you are actually giving the next customer a $1.00 worth of gas. The gas you pump stays in the hose and never makes it to your tank...........good to know
I took this picture a day b4 da opening of this shop, which basically sells all kinds of chocolate. Mostly local thats why Azalina will do signing ceremony. A while after i took this picture, the owner asked me not to take pictures. Why? I didnt bother to ask.
the day b4 the opening ASEAN delegates came to discussed on the interconnection. Lots of things have to e prepared, from the moment the step their feet in this country till the moment they step off.

today on this date proton had made a statement to call the owner of some 34000 savvy owners to send their savvys to proton edar or proton service due to some problems concerning the safety of the driver and passengers.
i salute for another setback and the courage it takes to call on some 34000 ppl.
great move for honesty. if u know sth is true u have to tell it ok.. no matter how painful it will be.
6 months yeay since i started on 1st october. i feel terrible if i have to change to other dept since i am beginning to like my job. i know it is hard not stay so long on sth but here in this unit there are chalenges and changes, coming to work one day i cant really expect what to happen that day, spontaneous .. i like.
i wanna share with you about this service. you have to be very careful when signing up for .. you know this wireless broadband because when it says that the speed = 3.6 mbps it does not necessarily mean you will enjoy that speed. instead : it is the best speed you can achieve.. which is hardly never. of all the time i have been using this service.. the maximum speed i observed is about 2.2 mbps. most of the time it is around 200 - 700 kbps.
another thing! the speed mentioned above is your download speed. your upload speed is very much lower. mine is only about 56 kbps most of the time.. so it will take really long time to upload data.
then there is the blocking of peer to peer download. what i mean is using torrent to download. i have tried and everytime my torrent download will not bulge, it will stay at 0. very frustrating at times.
some times you can also expect network error.. or time when its really hard to connect, so i have to bear with it.
the momment you signed the agreement you have to stay with this service for at least 18 months so be very sure when signing fo this or else if u wanna quit b4 the deadline, you have to pay whatever is the 18 months worth of service.
at $130 per month there many u can do. and there are better deals out there. for stability try wired broadband.
one last note.. ppl say that you cannot do more than 3gb a month. so think about it yeah b4 you make any decision.
I once told my friend that once you wake up and you remember you have been dreaming then you should not continue sleeping cause you already have enough. Why?
there are phases in your sleep. your body and your mind will sleep, so you are in deep sleep. this is when everything is resting and should not be disturbed.
once you start dreaming, your mind has woken up because it has enough sleep and then time to get up.
i remember the time when i slept one whole day and dreamt about one thing after another. the moment i woke up i didnt feel refreshed but tired. how come i said to myself. i have been sleeping i.e resting one whole day! why am i still tired?
this is what is being formulated: when i start dreaming.. the mind start working and drain the energy from other part of the body. so the longer you dreaming.. the more tired you feel.
thus the best sleep is when you woke feeling refreshed and remember that you have not dream at all!! you mind and body have been resting all the while.
so whenever you woke after a deep sleep.. go on and wake up and start doing something.. shake ur body or whatever that is other that continue sleeping.
Hi. Now I am trying to share something useful to those who are seeking. Might be useful if you too can score SPM. I scored 9A1. Straight As since I only took 9 subjects.
I dont go tuition. and I am no genius. I dont really learn that fast. But I did understand what I learnt over times.
How do i score? Few months before the exam I start buying all these practice books with answers in the back. So I did everyone of the so called forecasted questions and checked each answers. So i learnt from mistakes. I also did past years SPM papers. All of them and looked at the answers and analyzed all the answers given.
So? Thats all i did. Did many questions, looked and checked all the answers. And learnt how to answer the questions. So i believe this is what they basically do in tuition. thus, dont waste your time, your parents money and do it yourself. You can do it !
A month has passed since I report for duty. It was fun to actually work. ~HAHA~ especially a week before raya. Then I had to buy the ticket last minute and it cost us a fortune. Then I had to change the date, another hundred flew to Tony Fernandes.
Job was OK. Not so hard except for the first three weeks, I was bored with nothing to do. And they were unprepared for new exec. like me. But now it's OK, I guess.
Holly molly, it has been more than a month since i write. that spring break we went to seattle. spent almost a week at the same time jeopardizing my grades. well i had several reports to write and none of them came out the way i hope it supposed to. but all done is done i got my papers back we are on the right track hoping that all the calculations we made is really what it is supposed to be. frankly i have no idea to write. it has been raining, i lost my love, my only love that can transfer files back and forth. i will try harder to find her, misery i feel but not hopeless. believing in God, what happened is God willing through our reason. English??
Whenever a Monday is a holiday i often confused myself with having to think the Monday as Sunday and then the Tuesday as Monday. it gets really confusing when the classes are all following the Monday schedule on the Tuesday. it may be because normally students don't have class or rather less class than on Monday. well, tomorrow i shall not forget that it is actually a Tuesday or i may end up missing coming from work.
now i now how it feel when we are asked to design something. there a lots of things we don't know and have to guess, assume, approximate and such. it makes everyone in the class uncomfortable since we don't really have the numbers needed to design the thing we are suppose to design. they may be lots of way to design so no one correct answer is approached. with people thinking differently, we get lots of solutions for a given problem. this is really a smart way to learn, i wonder why we were not exposed to this kind of thing during our high schools so that the schools will generate more creativity from the students.
the sight of snow makes me wonder sometimes how beautiful it is really to be here, watching the snow falls to street, covering the trees, the cars and all that is outside waiting to covered by the snow. Few days ago, a day of valentine in 2007, big snowstorm hit the upper east side of the US. some parts get even the whole house covered with snow. there is nothing i know that can prevent it but hearing the news was kind of interesting to me watching how something as big as house can be totally covered by snow. but well in my place we did not get that much snow, only about 15 to 20 inches. but then the next morning the snow trucks came and shovel the streets leaving a big pile at the sides of road making it hard for anyone to walk by foot. those car left at the sides of the snow then got covered in the midst of cleaning the street so vehicles can travel through and then people can get to work and go to classes. little everyone who never experience snow know that sprinkling salt at the snow will melt the ice making it wet all over the street. well the day after the snowstorm i have to wear my insulation shoes since the whole road is covered with melting ice as result of interaction with salt. so due to the snow being shovel to the sides of the road, my car was also covered and well we did not act in hurry to clear it from the snow since we were not using cars to get to class but rather a bus, each an everyday when there is class. perhaps it is interesting to show how the car was covered. so the picture was put up, yet risking in exposing my identity to the public but well who cares. no one knows. so when finally the weekends came, it was then became the best day to shovel. to dig our car so that we can see the real car underneath the snow. those who live in houses i saw them shoveling seems like non stop from am to pm so that their driveway can be cleared. it was not a boy or a man but rather a middle aged woman. from her aura i felt that i should also be doing something i have been put off doing ever since the storm stopped. so it was all done yesterday and a result i tired myself out making me lifeless throughout the day but however after a good lay during the hour of 2 to 4, that night i was refreshed to make some groceries as well as visiting a family man in town. we were served with coconut milk rice and if i will try translating the literal meaning it will be called fat rice. aha. serves you right if you are trying to introduce this kind of food to any English speaking person, they not be willing to eat them.
February is the shortest month .. i like. It is fresh and ferpect.
But there is gotta be more to life. I have 2 ongoing projects. Ongoing lab reports. Each week. I think that I have made a wise decision to keep this semester quite empty. Although I work on 2 weekdays. It is like taking 11+14=28 Credits all together. Come to think of it, it is kind of busy. But I have friday, saturday and sunday off. which is cool. I enjoy on thursday nite, fridays and saturdays, haha.
I have also been naughty. I write sins on me when no one is looking. I keep forgetting that God is looking and angels are writing. It makes me wonder sometimes that my inner darkness emerges when no one is around. So do i need someone with me all the time. So that my inner darkness will shy away and not surface.
Tomorrow is 10 Muharam, the tenth day in Islamic calendar. It is the day of remembrance for prophet Musa having been saved by Allah with his followers from the evil of Pharaoh. It is encouraged to fast on this day as well as the day before. I am trying to fast so I hope it will go through.
So today is almost two weeks after classes started. I have projects in design class and fortran, as well as labs in ep lab. Those three things are enough to keep me busy. The design class is going very very slowly as for me, since I have done little about the design class.
Topics I think I should be researching: Properties of an aluminum sheet metal. 1) force, stress, tension 2) inductance 3) dent
Arrived at Hilo on Saturday morning at around 7 and it was raining. In fact, it was the rainy season during my stay and it was during the winter break, so it was about 5 jan in 2007. The airport is a small one and it really looks like a rural kind of airport with wooden walls and floor. It was open and there was no airconditioned once we step out of the bridge from the airplane. Instuitively, I rent a car so that we can see the whole island in the fastest and keisurely possible. We stayed for 3 days and it was raining everyday. Luckily when we arrived at one point the rain just stopped and the sun shows itself. We maanaged to find the south most point of the US and looking at the sea, the wind was blowing ferociously. A few minutes standing at the shore, we were greeted with a heavy flow of rain blowing towards the lands. Our hope of finding the black plus green sand beach shattered through the glass of the rain drops. We also found out that Mauna Kea in the big island of Hawaii is the tallest mountain as measured from the bottom of the sea.
I was once a waiter working in a Turkish restaurant. It was not really a difficult job and the pay was satisfactory. I remembered taking orders from customers, and there were sometimes customers who ordered something not in the menu and often times I was annoyed. Why wouldn't everyone just order something that IS on the menu? Why would anyone make my life miserable? Why? Why? I was a customer and always be a customer in some restaurant and sometimes I would just do the same. Sometimes, my experience stop me from ordering something different from the menu. I would rather spend more time studying the menu rather than asking the waiter or ask the waiter to put more of that, less of this, without that thing or ordering something out of the menu. I once ordered a plain fried egg when it is not really in the menu. I felt guilty sometimes but it was way back when I had not been a waiter. Indeed being a waiter has taught me some important lesson in life. I quited the job because I was bored. I am easily bored. Imagine having to do the same thing each time you come to work. I am not that kind of a person. I just could not stand it. Especially when I am also a student studying to get a degree. It was not really easy to be a student when you really want to excel in your studies. Nevertheless, I feel like working again since I need some money. I am now surveying some position working in the campus.
In a casino I saw a lot of elders playing the gambling machine hoping to get their luck strike thus obtaining a lot of money. However, the rule of gambling will not let you win that easily. The probability of winning the biggest jackpot is very close to zero. Rich people know about this thus making it a competition to build the grandest hotel with lots of casino slot machines hence making them rich and richer everyday. The majority of those playing the casino machines tend to bet on everything on every choice possible. Intuitively, they will win some, more frequent than those who bet little on few choices. Nevertheless, they always end up losing more than than what they are winning. In the end they have nothing and often go home with less than they bring in. So I think we can guess where the money goes; to people like Mr Trump.
Some things are meant to be done in private when no one is looking. For me friendster is something I am reluctant to share with anyone. I will only access my friendster account when no one is with me or looking what I am doing. On very occasional basis will I only reveal my friendster activity to others.
I have learned that booking a hotel is best done online rather than on-site or by phone .. unless you really no know how talk and get a good bargain. Unfortunately, being not so sweet a talker I was unable to get the best price when booking a hotel room by phone. The price was higher than those offered online. Some good website to book hotels are:
hotels.com hotwire.com or just do a google search.
The fact is that hotels know that when they are using online services to promote their rooms, they must put the best price possible since they know that other hotels are doing the same. Smart travelers will always do research to see which hotels are offering the best price. Booking by phone is in fact a great opportunity for the hotels to give higher price since the people who is answering the customer will want a greater commission through the booking. In conclusion, next time I will always use the net to find the best bargain when traveling!
As with any other people who writes blog, or diary or anything, I will put a conclusion to the year of 2006. It seems that 2006 is pretty different for me. I have started writing to YOU in this year of 2006, beginning to feel extremely lazy at the end of this year 2006. Have I grown matured over this year. My my my oh my. I have only one semester to go as of today, which is spring 2007. So what is the plan ? ? ? The year will start with me going to Hawaii. What better way to start a new year than to explore a totally different place. I will go on my own, well theoretically since my partner will always be agreeing to whatever things I do. It is a good practice in a sense, since I will have to do a lot of planning. Every plan must have a backup plan, well at least one backup. The worst thing could happen is that we will not be able to rent a car. Which, will leave us to the second option of exploring the islands by bus, which I think will not be as efficient as renting a car. So no matter what we will do what ever possible thing to do in order to secure a car. Although renting a car could be quite costly since, I nor my partner is above 25. Meaning that we will be charged with underage fees which could be about $25 a day. That's about $150 extra for 6 days! I hope it will be worth it.. So what about the semester? I don't think I will be repeating any subject since my desire to work hard has decreased tremendously. I am planning to focus and really give my 100% on my design project in order to secure an A. I really hope God will always guide my heart and my mind to achieve my expectation for this coming semester. Love life? No love. I mean no relationship. I dream of a miracle. but it will not happen without work. without hope my life would be hopeless. without love my life would be lifeless. so then i will spend some quality time with friends in order to compensate my love life. but my friends are becoming more and more burden to me. so i need to look further, find new faces, speak with different people and be open to the whole world. then i really need to have a good sleep. So with people always in my room, looking at what i am doing, it is really hard to live my secret utopian life. Little they know about me and less i will share with them. When I tell somebody a secret, it will not be a secret because that somebody will need to share that secret with somebody else, so it is kind of chain-reaction. So my conclusion is to keep everything to myself and share it by mean of writing this blog. This blog is so secret that no one that i know will be reading this, I hope and God forbids any of my friend or anyone i know will be reading this blog.
I am not a native speaker of english nor am i very fluent in it. it has been more than three years coming to the united states and i still find myself struggling to speak in english. i feel that i am wasted yet i still have like another 6 months or so to finally improve my communication skills as this would be my last chance in the united states. so i feel numb. today right here right now i will outlines somethings that has been running through my head: 1) i really really need A's for this semester. i wish i could just be sure about this but i am not. i feel like i have to try so hard to get the glimpse of As. Last night it looks easy to get an A but i still hope nothing screw up 2) i feel like i have no absolute commitment in anything. therefore i will try not to engage in any sort of of elationship. 3) i am fickle. i have no absolute idea what i will do let say in the next few hours. let alone planning a gigantic trip to hawaii. what i plan will change. what i am doing will not last. i will just say that i am spontaneous. 4) i dont feel like seeing people right now. so i lock my doors and shut down the messenger so nobody can communicate with me. i just need this time alone. 5) i think i am through with her. here is what i think about her: >> she has no interest in me >> she is a big spender >> she is too self centered, always think she is cute and all that >> she got another guy hanging on to her arms >> she looks strange, she dress strangely beautiful >> she is too stunning and outgoing >> i dont really know her >> she dont really no me >> she dont care about me >> she never wish me anything >> she is uninterested so i think i will just stop hoping for the miracle and let her go. let she go wherever she wants. i dont care. i mean really who cares. i am cute and attractive. why would i need her. btw, she has a boyfriend that looks like girlfriend. how disgusting looking at them both together. so i will not bother. let she smiles, yet her smiles are so sweet. so let she smiles. thinking just another thing about herself. i am done. bye bye
Today as the title is the last day of fall 2006. that mean that i have only one semester to go. for i am always intrigued with how fast something happens when it has actually finished while during the beginning of the semester it feels really slow. so is this the relativity of time by einstein on how we look at time can actually effect on how the time itself is perceived by us human being. i am glad though that it has finished for i have always been waiting for this. one class that i am not satisfied is analog. for it has to many things covered and i am actually dumbfounded on how to tackle this subject.
Season finale is just around the corner waiting for me to step into the dark facing wrath of the insane. making look like an insane myself so that people will look at me with eyes that bulges that they look like they are going to fall off from the head making me and you sick of looking the disgusting sight. Ok, so actually what i am going to say is that my finals is just a week away and i am not sure whether i am ready or not. for i have been studying and i have been getting tired of studying so sometimes i didnt study so sometimes i play games so sometimes i turn to friendster looking at people that i didnt know just trying to find the perfect match for me. so sometimes i daydream wandering around or looking at flight tickets craving for a crazy escape from this crazy world of mine. actually is not crazy at all. it is just that i am tired and soggy from the materials that we covered in classes and lectures. looking at my lecturers make me feel like vomiting since i hardly could ever understand their true intentions of teaching. often halfway down the class i would fall asleep or thinking about something else. but really i should not be thinking like this since finals is just next week. so what should be the big deal about the finals? well, they really will determine my grades. It is either i do well to score or do badly to fail. i have to choose and i have about one week to prepare. so please wish me luck, pray for my success and hopefully God will help me for He always help me in doing things. btw, i bought a ticket to honolulu but i didnt even prepare any plan for the week stay in hawaii. will i be making fool out of myself?
well at least, maybe this is the first time i really appreciate the break. i spent the morning yesterday studying?! and some part tonight studying again?! am i not enjoying my thanksgiving? indeed. i am really grateful (to God) for having this holiday, or break from the lectures, lab and such. yup i need time to catch up. and yes, lecturers are kind enough to help. they gave me assignments and exams to prepare for. but hell yeah i did spent some quality time this short break. got to play for the indoor soccer tournament and hell yeah we qualified for the playoff. its five teams. so only one team did not get to be in the playoff this coming sunday. this morning also we went for the black friday sale. went to target to buy the 400gb hardisk at $150 but alas we came a bit too late. but however, my friends bought 4 lcd each 20" for $170 which is a grreat bargain. i mean if you want to sale it. you can get for almost double the price. right now right here in my room i am writing this blog i am listening to "summer jam remix". i can't get you off my mind. yes HER. hahaha. i dont even know her. yet i like her. am i such a loser. well not in DOTA anyway. remember the time when seniors were here with us, spent like crazy hours playing that dota. thank God there are no more. the most we played for one night is three times. which is not as bad. huhu. so after the break there will be two more weeks of classes and then final. can't wait for the semester to finish. can't wait to do things i will never ever think of doing. winter break? no plan yet. me >> spontaneous.
This girl i found in the friendster. Would she be representing the general female thought?

Once a paper talked to me, "take me home, dude!" dude, you have to take me home home and where you can do me do me good for i will give you more more than if you did not take home home and where you can look at me ponder what i am suppose to? wonder how you can make a full use of me? gather your thoughts, your friends, ask them, ask yourself, can you beat me? can you show me? what you really know? for i will always be beneficial to you. take your time but don't procrastinate. take deep breaths but don't sweat. ask anyone, just anyone. how can you solve this take home exam?
It has been about 2 months since classes started, and about 2 months left before the end of semester. As such then now is around the mid-semester. I have been through 1 exam in Semiconductor, 1 exam in COCO and 2 exam in Analog. All the exams were not up to the standard expected and a long due report is expected. Starting with COCO, it is supposed to be an easy subject but without thorough READING of the textbook i failed to grasp the basics. I realized that I have not read the book thoroughly, understanding each concept presented but rather flip through all the pages thinking that oh they are all easy. Guess I was wrong when they discussed the exam in the lecture. All that was asked in the quiz was the basic stuffs that we should all know in order to progress in the course smoothly. My resolve is to read the book again with all the free time i have. The only problem i have is discipline on myself. I tend to waste time doing things i shouldnt do. I spend too much time in front of the monitor looking at things not beneficial to me. So unless i can refrain myself from doing things that waste all my time, I should go out and work! Work not in the case of earning money but to work in terms of studying, revising and reflecting. But too much reflecting and no action does not do anything. I must be strong inside out. Hopefully by writing I have let out the thinking in my mind that deserve to be heard and to be seen.
Analog exam - 1st exam was a disaster. I never really read the textbook. The textbook in fact is very good at explaining materials we covered in class. Little that I know but when i try reading, i am beginning to understand the gist that was explained in the lecture. My 2nd exam was nothing to be proud of. The preparation was better than previous but i think i screw up while doing the test. To imagine that i used more than half an hour just to answer one small part of the section that only worth 5 marks makes me feel dumb. It is obvious that i am not efficient. Next morning after a fine good sleep i realize what i can do when facing with the situation when i am blank and stuck in answering circuit related problem: 1) take a deep breathe 2) open my eyes widely to see if there was any trick in the question 3) look for parts in the circuits which can neglected as an open or short circuit 4) move on first if nothing seems to work 5) the longest time i should spend when in blank state in 5 MIN. 6) now after doing every possible questions go back to the unanswered and repeat step 1)
Girl will always try to hide her feelings. but i think i can sense the feeling by the way she gaze at me. at times trying to look at me when i think i did not see. when i also have have crush on her.
A constant shows of interest on a girl will make her aware of you. She will then give you chance. but i will never know what is in her mind.
Its the end of the month, when i thought that its already the beginning. I am busy but i feel that i am really make full use of my time.
it is good that i started reading the book thoroughly. i am beginning to understand the subjects.
it is true that ramadan has passed. i am now beginning to hear whispers of the syaitan. oh now so i start blaming the syaitan and the deeds that i done only to satisfy me. however, i am glad that i am still in control of my hunger. everyday since the start of syawwal still feel like fasting. but, i am unable to go for the subooh in the masjid. i woke up, shut the clock up and went back to sleep. it is really hard to drag yourself out of the bed when its only 5 in the morning. and plus it is really cold and the only place to be is inside my bed. someday perhaps i can push myself. O God, please help me.
Some people now value more privacy as i did. Lock the door behind so no one can get in. and disturb him. it is when we need focus that we actually tried.
I have problem with me. I have problem with her. I think she likes me. but am unable to confirm. Would i ask? NO i know that i am SHY. so does everyone else. i could never talk properly with girls who have crush on me (i think) when i am indeed having crush on her. but let it be that way. i think its better. so let time decides.

Beautiful
A beautiful reading by a beautiful creation of God.
Oh, well imagine; as I'm pacing the pews in a church corridor, and I can't help but to hear, no I can't help but to hear an exchanging of words. "What a beautiful wedding!, What a beautiful wedding!" says a bridesmaid to a waiter. "Ah yes, but what a shame, what a shame, the poor groom's bride is a whore."
I chimed in with a "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door?!" No, it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality. I chimed in "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door?!" No, it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of hope.
Well in fact, well I'll look at it this way, I mean technically our marriage is saved Well this calls for, a toast so, pour the champagne Oh! Well in fact, well I'll look at it this way, I mean technically our marriage is saved Well this calls for a toast, so pour the champagne, pour the champagne.
I chimed in with a "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door?!" No, it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality. I chimed in "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door?!" No, it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality.
Again..
I'd chime in "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door?!" No. It's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality. I'd chime in "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door?!" No, it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality.
When something goes wrong I tend to blame others. but after a while I will regret. why not blaming myself. what i did or did not do that somehow has created the problems. but blaming others is the best way to feel good about yourself. you feel relieved instantly. but the feeling was not permanent. when i am alone. i always think about the past. looking back, it was really my fault. i can always think of a way that i would do differently that could avoid the problem. it is me inside i should blame. but blaming oneself too much and too often can lead to depression. so it is good to find the balck sheep/goat or? i am not sure. but blaming oneself and reflect is the best way. not blaming oneself in a way that could demoralize you. turn to God. ask for help and you will find calmness in your heart. so it seems to work for me everytime. rather to keep on thingking about it. i let it go. let it go. forget about it and if somebody brought it up i may not even rememebr. so its gone. down the drain. it is always better to start a new scratch. let God be your guidance in this world and the world hereafter.
Feeling a desire to be lonely. to reflect and think. with others by my side i feel uneasy. i feel like escaping. so i locked the door outside. so no one can get in. i walk. alone and keep quiet. the feeling inside was so heavy. after a while. nope a night. and a morning. i feel relieved. i have think it through and reflect. sometimes we just need to stop and think. and to think carefully. we need focus. i have always this feeling when i see him. i feel uneasy. i think he is not being reall. but it is just my thought? after a heavy thought. ihave decide to ignore it. and get along with everyone. forget the past and move on. forget the problems and start a new beginning. when the feeling starts again. i will stop and think. yesterday was fruitless. slept a lot. maybe its the rain?
Quran, the book from Allah. Revealed to Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. through angel Gibrael first at the cave of Hira'. Quran like no other book can not be reproduced by anyone to match its superior quality of writing. Quran like no other book contains all the information from the past to the present. Whatever is being told in the Quran can somehow be related to what happen in the present or even the future. Likewise, we should be learning from the history of the past. Just look at the early generation of mankind. How they behave and the consequences of their doings.
When Ramadan came, I am afraid that I wont be having enough time to do things. But Allah has show me the ways. Show me things I never know I can do. Interestingly, one can do so many things without eating during the day. Without lunch, I still find energy within to do cardio. I can squench the thirst. Wait till the time to break the fast. At night, I anticipate the feeling of congregational prayer of Isya and tarawih. Not to forget the exciting feeling of iftar. Sitting together and pray to those who serve the food that day. Food has never been the problem. Eating too much can cause discomfort. While eating moderately will ensure you last the night till midnight. Yet with more time spend towards Allah, I can still finish my assignments on time. Reflecting, it was playing games too much that has been the problem. I feel free without games. I sleep on time, wake on time and feel refresh during the day. My eyes no more become tired during the day. It is now that I will uninstall the games that I have. Amin. Let Allah be always in my heart.
